As a core and key equipment in the production process of photovoltaic modules, the performance of the solar photovoltaic module laminator directly determines the quality, lifespan and efficiency of the modules. The lamination process is a precise one, and its standard procedure is as follows:
1. Loading: The laminated modules (glass /EVA/ battery string /EVA/ backsheet) are conveyed into the laminating machine chamber via a conveyor belt.
2. Closing the cover: The upper cover descends, closes with the lower chamber and presses the seal tightly to form a sealed space.
3. Vacuuming: Simultaneously vacuuming the upper and lower chambers: Rapidly extract the air from the chambers and the internal gaps of the module layers.
4. Heating: The heating plate starts to heat up, and the EVA melts and turns into a liquid state, which is fluid.
5. Pressurization: While maintaining a high vacuum, compressed air is filled into the airbag. The airbag expands, applying uniform and gentle pressure to the molten EVA and the module through the Teflon fabric, forcing the EVA to flow fully and fill all the voids, completely wrapping the solar cells and squeezing out the last remaining gas.
6. Curing: After being maintained at a set temperature and pressure for a period of time, EVA undergoes a cross-linking chemical reaction, transforming from a thermoplastic material to a thermosetting material, becoming tough and durable.
7. Cover opening and unloading: The upper cover rises, and the laminated modules are automatically conveyed out of the equipment.
The entire process is automatically controlled by PLC. The time, temperature, vacuum degree and pressure of each step are all pre-set process formulas, and the parameters are fine-tuned according to different modules sizes and materials.
