A typical laminator is mainly composed of the following systems:
1. Frame: A sturdy steel structure used to support all components and withstand internal pressure.
2. Heating system:
Heating plate: Usually consists of two parts, upper and lower, with evenly distributed heating pipes embedded inside to ensure highly uniform temperature in the heating area (the temperature difference is typically required to be controlled within ±2°C).
Temperature control system: Generally, a PID intelligent temperature controller and thermocouple are adopted to precisely perform closed-loop control over multiple heating zones, ensuring the accuracy and stability of the process temperature.
3. Vacuum system:
Vacuum chamber: It consists of an upper chamber and a lower chamber, which are sealed between them with high-temperature resistant and aging-resistant silicone strips.
Vacuum pump: Core air extraction equipment, used for rapidly extracting air from the chamber to create a high vacuum environment.
Vacuum valves, vacuum pipelines and vacuum gauges: used for controlling airflow and monitoring vacuum degree.
4. Pressure System:
Hydraulic or pneumatic device: used to control the opening and closing of the upper cover.
5. Control System:
PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) : The "brain" of the laminator, responsible for executing the preset laminating process curve and controlling the timing, temperature, vacuum degree and pressure of the entire process.
HMI (Human-Machine Interface) : Touch screen, through which operators set process parameters, start/stop equipment, monitor real-time operating status and alarm information.
Various sensors, such as temperature sensors, pressure sensors, vacuum degree sensors, etc., feed physical signals back to the PLC.
6. Transmission System:
High temperature cloth: It covers the upper and lower parts of components, providing high-temperature resistance, anti-sticking properties, protecting components and equipment from EVA contamination, and facilitating heat transfer and pressure application.
Conveyor belts or rollers: used for automatically feeding and discharging components to be laminated into and out of the laminator.
