1. Light transmittance
A. This is the most important indicator. At present, the mainstream products require a light transmittance of over 93.5%.
B. It is achieved by using ultra-clear glass sheets and anti-reflection coating technology. The coating layer utilizes the principle of light interference to reduce the reflection loss on the glass surface.
2. Mechanical strength:
A. It must be capable of withstanding wind pressure, snow load and hail impact.
B. Usually, the strength of glass is enhanced through tempering treatment, making its bending resistance and impact resistance 3 to 5 times that of ordinary glass.
3. Weather resistance and durability
A. Anti-ultraviolet aging: Prevent delamination or yellowing of the bonding layer with EVA film under long-term ultraviolet radiation.
B. Corrosion resistance: It can resist the erosion of moisture, salt spray and acidic substances in the atmosphere.
C. Thermal stability: It can withstand drastic temperature changes from -40℃ to +85℃ without cracking.
4. Thickness and Lightweight:
The mainstream thicknesses are 2.0mm, 2.5mm and 3.2mm. With technological advancements, thinner glass is being developed to achieve lightweight components and reduce transportation and installation costs.
