MCPV, a Dutch solar manufacturer and subsidiary of Resilient Group and SolarNL, has announced plans to build a 3 GW solar panel manufacturing plant in an unspecified location in the Netherlands.
The initial capacity of the plant is expected to be 300 MW, with plans to reach 3 GW by 2026. The factory will use an undisclosed heterojunction cell technology to produce solar panels with an efficiency of up to 26.5%.
In the future, MCPV plans to manufacture perovskite-silicon tandem solar cells at the plant, with an efficiency of over 30%. This positive development demonstrates MCPV's commitment to advancing renewable energy technology.
