1. Basic structure and materials
Single-sided photovoltaic glass usually uses ultra-white rolled glass as the substrate, which has a lower iron content than ordinary glass to reduce the absorption of sunlight and increase the light transmittance. To enhance the efficiency of light absorption, single-sided photovoltaic glass is usually coated with an anti-reflective film (AR film) on its surface to reduce light reflection loss and increase the power generation capacity of the module.
A. Substrate material: Low-iron ultra-clear glass
B. Coating type: Single or multi-layer anti-reflection coating (mainly SiO₂)
C. Thickness: The traditional thickness is mainly 3.2mm, but there is a significant trend towards thinness, ranging from 2.0mm to 2.5mm
2. Core performance features
A. High light transmittance
The light transmittance of ordinary photovoltaic glass is approximately 92%, and it can be increased to 93.5%-94.3% after coating.
For every 1% increase in light transmittance, the power generation capacity of the component can be enhanced by approximately 0.8%.
B. Anti-reflection coating technology
A. Single-layer coating: a SiO₂ nanoporous film layer is adopted, reducing the reflectivity to approximately 1% and increasing the light transmittance by 2% to 3.5%.
b. Double-layer coating: Further enhances the light transmittance (approximately 0.5% gain), but the cost is relatively high, and the weather resistance needs to be optimized.
C. High strength and durability
a. After tempering treatment, it has strong impact resistance and wind pressure resistance, and is suitable for harsh outdoor environments.
b. It is resistant to high temperatures and corrosion, and has passed certification tests such as IEC61215/61730.
